Uluru(Ayers Rock)-Kata Tjuta in 4 Days -2 Adults under 2500 AUD
Accommodation
Accomodation is something which is the costliest here as there is only one Resort (Ayers Rock Resort) in this place for tourists travelling by air. Camping grounds are available for road travellers. However booking in advance is necessary having said it is one of the Australia’s most iconic landmarks due to its cultural history.
Transport
Booked the cheapest return flight from Sydney to Ayers rock . Booking in well advance could save you some money. Also made rental car reservation for the 4 days .
Things you need to know
As there is limited Accomodation options , it is best to book the accomodation prior to the air tickets.
With no public transportation , car rental is mandatory to explore various spots around - a well advance booking is highly recommended.
There is an IGA shopping complex , couple of restaurants and local shops around the resort which is the only place where you get food for the days planned.
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park closes at night for visitors and must leave before closing time. Please check here for park timings.
For the hiking, ensure to take enough water to stay hydrated , wear sun protection and also highly recommended to ensure to complete the walk in the early morning hours when its cooler to save yourself from sun stroke and finish before 11:00 am.
Fly nets are life saving during the walks.
Field of lights experience booking can be purchased when you book the accomodation in the Ayers Rock Resort website.
